If you take a look at my upcoming fanfictions journal, you probably noticed that I'm gonna do a fanmake to some DC Comics movies/animated episodes. I already did a fanmake of a Batman TAS episode titled "Christmas with the Joker" during December 2008, as a practice for when I'll start it for real. Some people liked it and I'm glad they liked it. Don't forget Jason Todd/Robin II/Red Hood, I think Tadashi Hamada from Big Hero 6 or Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier from Captain America, perhaps someone more similar to the character and personality of Red Hood would make a good choice.

I haven't seen Big Hero 6 yet, so I don't know much about this Tadashi guy (I'm not the kind of guy who's a hardcore Disney fan and watch all of the animated movies when they're out in theaters). Bucky could work, but I can't say for sure.

I was going to update it this week, but then I watched "Man of Steel" one week ago and it made me think a few more ideas. I'll update this one and the Marvel one when I can.

Hey there. Hope you and yours had Happy holidays and a great New Year:

Anyway, here's another two DC Character casting ideas:

Crimson Avenger: Brett Reid/Green Hornet (a masked vigiliante who has been occasionally appearing in multiple medias since the early-1930s [kind of makes sense when you consider how much obvious inspiration the Crimson Avenger drew from the Green Hornet {both were owners of their own newspapers in their civilian identities, both had their chauffers act as their main crime-fighting partners, both had gas guns as their main weapons of choice, both pretended to be criminals themselves when they were actually pursuing the real crooks}])

Wing (Crimson Avenger's chauffer/crime-fighting partner): Kato (the Green Hornet)

Yeah, I know who Green Hornet is. I haven't seen any of the works he has been in, but I've heard of him for several years by now. Anyway, I'll think about it.

Here's another couple of casting ideas I couldn't resist sharing:

Congo Bill (an obsure DC explorer hero whose best weapons were his wits and guts as well as, in later adventures, a magic ring that allowed him to temporarily swap bodies with a powerful gorilla): Henry Jones Jr. (aka Indiana Jones; Indiana Jones franchise)

the Golden Ape (the gorilla Congo Bill could swap bodies with with the help of a magic ring): Magilla Gorilla (Hanna-Barbera)

Hoppy the Marvel Bunny (an obscure 1940s anthro-rabbit hero who was basically his universe's counterpart to Captain Marvel): Hammy the Squirrel (Over the Hedge)

The Terrific Whatsit (an obscure 1940s anthro-turtle super-hero who was magically granted super-speed, super-strength, super-toughness and flight as well as an "automatic conscience" that prevented him from getting until rest until he had set right any wrong he found out about. He could also had a removable shell): Verne the Turtle (Over the Hedge)

Again, I hope you don't mind this. If so, I profusely apologize for wasting your time.

The Anti-Monitor (main villain of Crisis on Infinite Earths): Shao Kahn (Mortal Kombat)

Starro (classic Justice League villain): Ursula (Disney's Little Mermaid)

The Paragon (a Justice League villain from the early-to-mid 80s who had the ability to temporarily duplicate super-powers [though only organic abilities; not abilities acquired by mechanical means such as power rings or cybernetics] at an even higher level than the original possessors): Shang Tsung (Mortal Kombat)

Animal Man (an obscure DC hero who can duplicate the abilities of animals): Pecos Bill (Disney version)

The Wrath (a mid-1980s Batman villain; he's a criminal whose parents were killed by a cop [a young Gordon, in fact; though it was in clear-cut self-defense] on the same night Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered. He eventually trained himself into a master assassin targetting law enforcers. He is very much Batman's match in both obsession and skill): the Griffin (Ace Ventura cartoon series)

Ibis the Invincible (an obscure DC Comics sorcerer hero): Fashir (Disney's Aladdin cartoon series)

Mister Who (an obscure Doctor Fate villain from the Golden Age of comics; he is a chemically enhanced criminal mastermind with superhuman strength and durability, regenerative healing, growth powers and invisibility): Lotso Huggin' Bear (Toy Story 3)

The Composite Superman (one of the more obscure Silver Age Superman AND Batman villains [as in, it ALWAYS took AT LEAST both of them at the same time to fight him and, even then, they only won by pure luck]; basically he's a villain with the combined powers of the ENTIRE Legion of Super-Heroes): the Super-Skrull (Marvel Comics)

Doctor Phosporous (sp?) (one of the more obscure Golden Age Batman villains): the Molten Man (Marvel Comics)

Metalo (a Golden Age Superman villain; NOT to be confused with the similarly named but much more famous Kryptonite powered cyborg; Metalo is a criminal scientist who gained strength and invulnerability equal to Superman's early Golden Age levels via a combination of a super-strength formula and an armored suit made of a super-strong metal, BOTH of his own discovery): Super Thug (Dynomutt: Dog Wonder)

the Monk (a vampire probably best known for being Batman's first super-powered enemy): Baron Blood (a Marvel Comics vampire)

Here's four more that I just thought of:

Merlyn the Archer (a master archer/assassin; perhaps Green Arrow's only real competition for the title of "DC Universe's greatest archer"): The Sheriff of Notingham (Disney's Robin Hood)

Count Vertigo (uses a special device to throw off enemies' senses of perception and balance; another major Green Arrow villain): Doctor Crab (Radioactive Man's arch-enemy; the Simpsons)

Major Disaster (a villain with power over natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and hurricanes; mostly a Flash and Green Lantern villain, but has fought Superman at least twice): Ganondorf (Legend of Zelda series)

Oggar (an evil immortal with powerful magic abilities; one of the more obscure Captain Marvel villains): Rumplestlskin (Shrek version)

Buddy Blank/O.M.A.C.: Shoeshine Boy/Underdog (Underdog cartoon series)

Fadeaway Man (a crook with a wide assortment of mystical tools; including a magic cape and bag. Mostly a Silver/Bronze Age Hawkman villain, but HAS tangled with Batman at least once): Peking Duck (Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat)

Matter Master (a crook with a wand that grants him power over inanimate objects; largely a Hawkman villain): Ali-Bama (Bugs Bunny cartoon "Case of the Missing Hare")

The Gas Gang (Metal Men villains): The four ghosts from the classic Mickey Mouse cartoon "Lonesome Ghosts", plus the Ghostly Trio (Casper the Friendly Ghost)

Johnny Quick (Golden Age DC speedster hero who gets his power from a special verbal formula): Ronald Weasley (Harry Potter)

Jax-Ur (Phantom Zone villain): Chase Young (Xiaolin Showdown)

Mala (Phantom Zone villainess from "Superman: the Animated Series"): Queen Slug-For-A-Butt (Earthworm Jim)

General Immortus (Doom Patrol villain): Adrian Toomes/the Vulture (Marvel Comics)

Madame Rouge (Doom Patrol villain): Zarana (Zartan's sister; G.I. Joe)

And, well, I respect that it's your call, but maybe you could switch Abu and Monkey around (i.e. cast Abu as Detective Chimp and Monkey as Beppo). Monkey DOES, after all, have most of Superman's powers and then some.

Of course, if these ideas DON'T help, I profusely apologize for wasting your time.

I'll be honest, there are only a few characters among the new additions I'm familiar with myself. :XD: Mostly the Green Lantern movie characters, Victor Zasz, Uncle Marvel, Detective Chimp and Kamandi. Slam Bradley, I know he was in "The New Frontier" and its Direct-to-Video animated film, but haven't read the comic or seen the movie yet.

Detective Chimp (a chimpanzee with chemically/magically enhanced intelligence that just happens to be - well - a private detective): Pretty much any intelligent good guy simian you can think of that you haven't already cast

Hocus and Pocus (a pair of bumbling, but well-intentioned stage magicians that Superman has had to discreetly help out a few times in the Golden Age): Rocky and Bullwinkle (series of the same name)

Tawny Tiger (a sentient tiger who is a friend of the Marvel Family): The Pink Panther (classic cartoon character)

"Uncle" Dudley (a friend of the Marvel Family with no actual super-powers of his own, though he makes up for it in cleverness and loyalty): Carl Fredickson (Up)

Billy Batson (Captain Marvel's younger non-super alter-ego): Russell (Up; though Hercules would still be in the Captain Marvel proper role)

the Fisherman (one of Aquaman's more obscure enemies): Clayton (Tarzan)

Blackjack (a pirate that tangled with Aquaman a few times in the Golden Age): Long John Silver the 23rd (Duck Dodgers episode "Shiver Me Dodgers")

Kamandi (a human adventurer in a future world inhabited mostly by intelligent animals; "the Last Man on Earth"): George of the Jungle (film of the same name)

Qwsp (an extremely obscure fifth dimension imp; pretty much Aquaman's answer to Mxyzptlk): Q (Star Trek: the Next Generation)

Once again, I DO hope this helps and, if not, I profusely apologize for wasting your time.

Hmm... I'll think about it. Although in the case of Billy Batson, I'm not planning to use someone else to play the role. Just a younger version of Hercules will be enough for me.

I also have a few more casting ideas:

Slam Bradley (a private eye character in the DC Universe): Ace Hart (Jim Henson's Dog City)

Doctor Occult (a paranormal detective [both in the sense that he investigates the paranormal AND in the sense that he has a certain measure of actual mystical power]): Max Tennyson (Ben 10 franchise)

Mister "V" of Vulture (a Silver Age enemy of the Martian Manhunter; basically the behind-the-scenes head of an international criminal organization): Ernst Stavo Blofeld (James Bond)

Diablou (another Silver Age enemy of the Martian Manhunter; this one is a sorcerer who had a mask that summoned monsters): Lord Zedd (Power Rangers; sorry, best I can think of)

Sargon the Sorcerer (a Golden Age DC character; a stage magician who has a geniunely mystical ruby and has been both a hero and a villain): Merlin the Magic Mouse (an extremely obscure Looney Tunes character; he's a stage magician who, while generally thought of as a fraud [and, indeed, DOES use cheap tricks and has more than a little W.C. Fields-esque con man in him], actually DOES have geniune magic abilities [though he largely only uses them in self-defense or when the joke calls for it]. He has appeared in five cartoons in the mid-to-late-1960s [all of which can be found on YouTube]; "Merlin the Magic Mouse", "Shamrock and Roll", "Feud With A Dude", "Fistic Mystic" and "Hocus Pocus Pow Wow"])

T.N.T. (an extremely obscure Golden Age DC hero who had enhanced strength and explosive powers): Slappy Squirrel (Animaniacs)

Dan The Dyna-Mite (T.N.T.'s sidekick with the same powers): Skippy Squirrel (Animaniacs)

Again, I DO hope this helps. If not, I profusely apologize for wasting your time.

Don't worry about suggesting Lord Zedd. I still like Power Rangers (though mostly in a "So Bad, It's Good" way and only the Mighty Morphin' incarnation, but I don't hate it.)

Yeah, I've heard of Merlin the Magic Mouse. He was among those Looney Tunes characters introduced in the 1960's that never had the same success as their predecessors (like Cool Cat). Admittedly, I've never saw any of his cartoons (the only LT shorts from the 1960's I've seen where those Road Runner shorts by Rudy Larriva and the Daffy/Speedy ones, plus the ones made by the veteran directors like Chuck Jones), though I'll obviously take some time to watch some shorts on YouTube.

Anyway, I'll give them all some thoughts.

Admittedly, there are some roles I never heard of either. Comickook suggested me those roles, and gave me some explanations to who some of these characters are if he thinks I'm not familiar enough (thank you, Comickook, BTW). Although I always at least look at Wikipedia before updating the list.

I'm planning to start with "Supermario: The Movie". It only makes sense to start with the superhero, and the movie for that matters, that started everything.

Oh, boy... :XD: Well, there are some characters from that show that are part of my huge DC cast (like Egghead, for example). Though IF I were going to make my own version of episodes from the Adam West series, I would make them darker and edgier, more in tone with Batman: The Animated Series. At the very least, I will do some occasional Mythology Gags to the Adam West series.

Yeah. That makes sense. Actually, the animated 1990s series IS my favorite incarnation; darker and more serious than the 1960s live action series, yet also generally more light-hearted than the Chris Nolan Batman movie. Mind you, I really like MOST incarnations of Batman, but the animated 1990s version is still my favorite.

Coincidentally, BTAS is also my favorite incarnation of Batman. It certainly help that it was the incarnation I personally grew up watching (though not the first I've seen, cause I remember watching a few episodes of the 1966 show when I was very young, shortly before I was introduced to BTAS). It's always the first thing to come into my mind whenever I think of Batman.

Ma Parker (a one-shot villainess from the 1960s Batman series): Ma Buzzard (the mother of Beaky and his brothers; Looney Tunes)

Charma (an obscure Legion of Super-Heroes villainess; she was a mutant who possessed an uncontrollable hypnotic power that made men extremely protective and mostly subservient to her and made women literally violently jealous of her): Sedusa (the Powerpuff Girls)

Grimbor (a Legion of Super-Heroes villain who possessed not only super-strength, but also a geniune talent for designing and building very impressive traps and restraints that are challenging even to super-powered beings): The Frankenstein Monster (classic novel/movie monster; the version in the original novel WAS A LOT more intelligent than a lot of people think)

Invisible Kid (Legion of Super-Heroes member): Egghead Junior (Looney Tunes)

Colossal Boy (Legion of Super-Heroes member): Willie the Giant (Fun and Fancy Free)

Sun Boy (Legion of Super-Heroes member): Cyclops (Marvel Comics)

Rex the Wonder Dog (a semi-obscure DC hero): Snoopy (Peanuts)

Sandman (Golden Age DC hero): Droopy (classic cartoon character)

Sandy the Golden Boy (Golden Age DC hero; Sandman's sidekick): Dripple (Droopy's son; introduced in the late-1980s-early-1990s)

Ambush Bug (an extremely comedic DC character; a MAJOR fourth wall breaker and possibly one of the few non-villainous DC characters even crazier than the Creeper): Deadpool (Marvel Comics)

The Duke of Deception (an obscure Wonder Woman villain): Loki (Marvel Comics)

Doctor Psycho (Wonder Woman villain): Doctor Woe (Looney Tunes)

Once again, I DO hope this helps.

Here's another few ideas I just thought of that I couldn't resist sharing:

Mister Atom (a powerful and sentient, but evil robot that is best known as a Captain Marvel villain): Metal Sonic (Sonic games)

The Icicle (a Golden Age villain and enemy of the Alan Scott Green Lantern [as well as, occasionally, the Justice Society]): Marvin the Martian (Looney Tunes)

Sky Pirate (an obscure Golden Age villain who was another enemy of the Golden Age Green Lantern): Don Karnage (TaleSpin)

The Sportsmaster (another enemy of the Golden Age Green Lantern): Negaduck (Darkwing Duck)

The Gambler (another enemy of the Golden Age Green Lantern): Colonel Shuffle (an obscure Looney Tunes character who most notably tangled with Bugs in "Mississippi Hare")

Multi-Man (an obscure DC Comics villain with the ability to consistently come back from the dead; each time with a new super-power. He was predomiantly a Challengers of the Unknown villain): Vigo the Carpathian (Ghostbusters 2)

The Bug-Eyed Bandit (an obscure villain who was an enemy of the Atom): Lilliputt (the Darkwing Duck cartoon "Getting Antsy")

I.Q. (a Hawkman villain who had frequent, but temporary bursts of superhuman intelligence): Professor Monkey-For-A-Head (Earthworm Jim)

the Prankster (one of the more mild Superman villains): Boris Badenov (Rocky and Bullwinkle)

J. Wilbur Wolfingham (one of the more obscure Golden Age Superman villains; basically, he's a con man whose schemes; mostly thanks to Superman's efforts; always ended up benefiting everybody EXCEPT himself): Al J. Swindler (Garfield and Friends)

Wanton (a powerful and evil sorcerer who is one of Doctor Fate's greatest enemies): Uncle Deadly (one of the more obscure Muppets)

Once again, I DO hope this helps. If not, I profusely apologize for wasting your time.
