Yeah, I completely understand the fact you were too lazy to review all the other chapters, Nightw2. Everyone is lazy at something, including myself. So, I wouldn’t blame you for that.

Anyway, while putting this story on hold, I was able to make only one chapter. Probably because I spend too much time writing my SSB version of “The Lion King”. Whatever…

Chapter 13 : One Trophy Taken Away

After a while, Bugs, Al, Mickey, Porky, Spidey, Genie, Wile E, Carpet, Abu and Iago arrived near Pete’s castle. After opening the door, they entered in it. They noticed that the pieces of the ceilling fell were on the ground.

“I didn’t know Pete was bad at cleaning his home.” said Spidey.

“That doesn’t surprise me.” said Mickey.

Porky looked around. Then, he noticed something to his left.

“Hey! L-l-l-look!”

The others turned to see what the pig was pointing. They saw a hole in the wall.

“I’m guessing that someone came here and tried to steal Pete’s trophies. It’s the only thing that could possibly explain this mess.” said the Coyote.

“Then, we’ll have to see where that hole is leading. Come on, guys!” said Aladdin.

“Right!” agreed the others.

And they all enter the hole. On their way, they meet some familiar faces to Bugs.

“Hey! It’s that rabbit!” exclaimed one of the Gashouse Gorillas.

“No! Not these losers again!” exclaimed the carrot eater.

“It’s time for you to pay for beating us a while ago, rodent!”

Quickly, Bugs took the script of this story and a pencil from a hidden pocket. While writing something in the script, he said it out loud. “And at this moment, an Assist Trophy appeared near the rabbit.” And at this moment, an Assist Trophy appeared near the rabbit. “Like I said before, it’s always fun to break the fourth wall.” he said to the readers.

As you can guess, the carrot eater held up the trophy and another character appeared for a cameo appearance. It was a blue-feathered woodpecker with white feathers on his belly and red feathers on his head. His eyes were green while his beak and his feet were yellow. He was wearing white gloves. Soon enough, Mickey, Bugs, Porky and Wile E were able to recognize that bird.

“Guess who!” said the woodpecker with a smile.

“Oh! Boy! Woody, is that you? It’s been a long time.” exclaimed the mouse.

“Yeah, we have barely heard of ya ever since the Roger Rabbit movie. Last time I saw ya, it was in that 2000’s cartoon series on TV.” said the rabbit, while the pig and the Coyote agreed.

“Wait, you know him?” asked Spidey.

“Sure. He’s Woody Woodpecker, a fellow classic toon star.” said Mickey before doing his trademark laugh.

“That’s exactly who I am.” said Woody. “So, I guess I have to help you guys against those evil baseball players, right?”

“How did you know that?” asked Al.

“Hey! I’m a classic toon style. I can break the fourth wall too!” A Gashouse Gorilla was about to hit the bird with his bat. All of sudden, Woody quickly grabbed his bat and hit him instead. The baseball player was dizzy. “Didn’t see that coming, did you?” asked the woodpecker with a smirk.

“Get him!” ordered one of the baseball players.

Faster than you could think how long it would take, Woody summoned a paint brush with red paint and painted all the baseball players with that paint. Then, he replaced the red paint on his brush with blue paint. The woodpecker painted every red-colored thing on the heroes with that blue paint.

“Hey! Watch out!” exclaimed Iago, the red-feathered parrot, in annoyance.

After putting some blue on the red feathers on his own head, Woody came near a crate that came from nowhere and opened it, revealing a bull. The latter saw the red-painted baseball players and became furious. The Gashouse Gorillas gulped. The bull charged towards them, as they ran away for their lives while screaming. After they left, Woody quickly removed the blue paint from the others and himself.

“Hey! Good job, Woody!” cheered Mickey.

“Yeah, that was good.” agreed Bugs.

“Thanks, guys. You’re the best. Well, looks like I have to go. See ya! Hahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Heheheheheheheheh!” said Woody while doing his famous laugh before disappearing in a flash.

Gladly enough of the woodpecker’s help, our heroes continued their way.

On the top of a cliff, Elmer was running with Lola’s trophy in his hands. All of sudden, he stopped when he heard something behind him. The bald man turned and saw a certain rascally rabbit jumping into the air and ready to punch him.

“Elmer, ya have gone too far!” exclaimed Bugs.

“Oh, yeah?” said the hunter.

The latter hold Lola’s trophy in front of him. When the rabbit realized he was gonna hit her, he quickly missed it and hit the ground instead.

“What gives here, doc? We made thirty-five pictures together!” complained the carrot eater.

“Well, as it tuwns out, I’m secwetly evil!” said the bald man.

“That’s showbizz for ya!” said Bugs to the readers.

“Enough with this!” exclaimed Spidey.

The superhero shooted a web on the hunter. Elmer avoided it, but teetered on one foot near the edge of the cliff. At the same time, the Pete badge on Lola’s trophy was thrown into the air and fell on the ground. Then, Elmer lost his balance and fell off the cliff… before a helicopter came and caught him just in time. The bald man smirked at the heroes.

“Twy to catch me, wascally wabbit! Heheheheheheheh!”

The helicopter flied towards a well-know aircraft carrier in the sky. The heroes couldn’t believe their eyes.

“So, Elmer is also part of that invasion!” realized the rabbit. “Geez, this guy would do anythin’ to defeat me.”

“It could be worse than what you could think it is.” said Wile E.

The rabbit didn’t know what the Coyote was talking about.

“What are ya sayin’, Wile E?”

“Well, we now know that Elmer Fudd, who happens to be the archennemy of Bugs Bunny, which is you, is a member of whatever is behind the invasion we are living. However, Elmer might not be the only villain there. Maybe the archennemies of a whole bunch of heroes from anywhere are also part of this invasion as well. To make it quite simple, there might be somekind of Legion of Doom behind this.” explained the Coyote.

“You mean that some of my ennemies could be among them, like the Green Goblin, Doc Ock or Venom?” asked Spidey.

“Precisely.”

“So, that’s why Pete stole those trophies. Because he’s also part of this invasion. I guess Sam gave him the Lola trophy.” said Mickey.

“If Jafar is among them, it can’t be good.” said Aladdin.

“Wait a second, Al! Are you telling me that Jafar is still alive?” asked Iago.

“Unfortunately, yes.”

“But… that’s impossible! He was dead the day I became part of your gang! I know that since I SAW that!”

“I know that. But after you left us to be with my father, Jafar came back from the dead with the help of the Lord of the Underworld, Hades. Together, they tried to trick me and another guy named Hercules.” explained the street rat.

“I didn’t know that.” protested Iago.

“Hum, Doc? I mentionned that story two chapters ago. Ya don’t listen a lot.” said Bugs.

“Ha! Iago is more like the guy who like to talk rather than to listen.” said Genie.

“Enough with that, blue boy!” yelled the parrot.

Abu was laughing. For him, it’s always fun to see Iago losing his temper like that. Then, Porky noticed that Mickey was rushing towards something. He was the only one to notice that.

“M-m-mickey? W-w-what’s going on?”

The mouse stopped near the Pete badge. He was puzzled. Why there was a badge with the face of his archennemy on it? He shrugged before putting it on his pocket.

“I’ll check about that later.” he thought to himself.

Near Pete’s castle, the Ancient Minister was with two futuristic robots. Once again, they activated a Subspace bomb. Seeing that it’s gonna work, the Ancient Minister started leaving the place. The futuristic robots waited for the bomb to work. Three minutes later, it exploded, engulfing Pete’s castle and everywhere.

Meanwhile, Jafar was still in the same room he was the last time we saw him. From the screen in front of him, he heard a laugh. Soon enough, a strange being appeared on the screen. It looked like a giant white glove. It was none other than Master Hand, the powerful being behind the Super Smash Bros. tournaments.

“Jafar!” exclaimed the giant hand.

“Yes, Master Hand?”

“Does everything works according to the plan?”

“Yes, it is. Everything works. Our plan is working very well.” answered the sorcerer.

“Good. Make sure that everything’s fine until the end of our plan!” ordered Master Hand.

“With pleasure, my Lord.” said Jafar as he kneeled in front of the giant hand.

While doing so, Jafar smirked. Like he said before, it looks like the world shall be his.

End of chapter.

Well, it looks like Master Hand is behind this. Why? That’s another question you’ll have to wait being answered. Next time, we’re gonna go back to see Kyle and Mac.

Like I said before, Master Hand is playing himself, since he’s a character exclusive to the Super Smash Bros. series. And Woody Woodpecker appeared as the Assist Trophy named Helirin. I was originally planning to put Woody in the first chapter, but I forgot it. So, I decided to put him here instead. Of all the classic cartoon characters, I always had a soft spot for Woody.

The part where Elmer said he’s “secwetly evil” is a reference to “Looney Tunes: Back in Action”. That’s one of the main reasons to why I cast Elmer as Bowser: the line is so quite fitting here!
